Director of Technology
I decided to run for Director of Technology at the 2023 HESA Elections because I feel I have a lot to contribute from this position and I want to serve the global Student Community at the Harvard Extension School.
As a graduate degree candidate in the Management field, I know how important is to have the right technological tools to promote communication, collaboration, and productivity in teams and organizations. Moreover, as both an overseas student and a young professional working with colleagues across geographies, I have also been using such tools (i.e. websites/platform CMS, virtual meetings, remote collaboration) extensively for the past 4 years now. In this role, I believe I will be a valuable resource to the HESA team as I am passionate about all things on innovation and new technologies, which has also led me to pursue the HES Graduate Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. For example, in a previous professional experience working within a multinational company, I was assigned responsibility and helped in the successful transition to the new internal digital platform, by creating step-by-step training guides, facilitating training, and keeping the content up to date. Finally, by having worked closely with technical teams and software developers to build a web app, I am confident that I can promptly research, address and resolve any technology-related requests coming in for HESA, in collaboration with the appropriate departments at Harvard.
As Director of Technology at HESA, I will work tirelessly to make sure that the HESA infrastructure and website always remain up-to-date, and that the technological tools we use enhance the overall outreach, communication, and engagement of the entire HES student community.
